Levels

For admins: granting the next level and revoking the last one.

Levels open one at a time, in order — see Lessons and levels for how that looks to a student. You grant and revoke access from a student's page, Levels tab.

Granting a level

A Grant access button appears beside exactly one level: the first locked level, and only once every level before it is completed. Selecting it confirms: "The student can open its lessons and submit its assignments. Earlier levels are recorded as completed." Granting a level notifies the student.

A level with no lessons in it counts as completed the moment it's granted — there's nothing in it left to finish.

Revoking a level

A Revoke button appears beside the last level that was granted — never an earlier one. Selecting it confirms: "The student loses access to this level. Their lesson progress is kept." If you grant it again later, their earlier progress on it is still there.

"Not done" lessons

If a lesson is added to a level after a student has already completed it, that level stays completed — but on the student's Levels tab, its Progress column shows a "N not done" pill counting that lesson (and any others added or un-marked the same way) until it's marked complete. It doesn't reopen the level or stop it counting as finished.
