Faculty and admins — see the roles table below for what each one can do.
Roles¶
Every account has one role: student, faculty, admin or superadmin. An admin account can also carry the faculty label — a "teaching admin" — set by a superadmin, which counts it among faculty for dashboards and faculty-wide announcements without changing what the account is allowed to do.

- Learn — work through lessons and submit assignments.
- Grade — grade or return a student's submission.
- See progress — see a student's progress and risk indicators.
- Nudge — send a reminder to a student.
- Announce — post an announcement.
- Content & levels — manage course content and grant or revoke a level.
- Users — create accounts, reset passwords, ban or unban.
- Settings — change system settings.
Admins manage student and faculty accounts; only a superadmin manages an admin's or another superadmin's account.
