Assignments

For admins: creating assignments, the instructions file, and how many a lesson or module can have.

Adding an assignment

A lesson or module can carry several assignments. On a lesson's Assignments tab, or a module's Module Assignments tab, select Add Assignment and fill in a Title * and, optionally, a Description. On an imported assignment the title is locked (it comes from the content repository), but the description is always yours to write — the content repository doesn't supply one.

Once it's created, upload an instructions PDF from the assignment's card with Upload PDF (or Replace PDF to swap it later) — this is optional, and only available on a manual assignment; an imported assignment's instructions file comes from the content repository too.

An assignment's page

Open an assignment from its card to see its submissions: the level › module › lesson it belongs to, its Content repo/Manual badge, Coordinator and Lecturer, an Open instructions button when it has a file, and a Submissions (N) list with an ungraded count — this is the same grading list the grading inbox uses, already filtered to this one assignment. See Grading for how to grade or return work from it, and its screenshots of this page.
